Tait Communications named NZ Hi-Tech Company of the Year
Christchurch, New Zealand, 25 May 2026
Tait made a stand-out impression on the exclusive panel of international judges, who recognised the company for its growth, innovation and ability to compete on the global stage.
“While Tait was founded 57 years ago, the company continues to innovate on the global stage and move at speed. Not an easy achievement for such a well established company. Tait is coming off a phenomenal year, passing the half billion dollar revenue mark. It grew organically, and by acquisition, expanding into new countries and introducing technically advanced new products that allow it to compete strongly on the world stage.”
The annual awards were announced at the gala dinner on Friday evening at Auckland’s Spark Arena in front of a near record crowd of 1,300 people. Guests included Government ministers and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.
CEO and Managing Director Yoram Benit, PhD, says the team is thrilled to win the top award.
“This reflects the dedication of our people, who work tirelessly to keep our customers safe and connected when failure is not an option. Tait is a special company built on the legacy of our founder, Sir Angus Tait. This award recognises that legacy and the strength of our strategy as we continue to innovate, grow globally, and shape the company’s future.
“The NZ Hi-Tech Awards are a celebration of the very best of the sector. Congratulations to all the other finalists and winners.”
